Anchor River, Alaska - Chinook and Coho Fishing

Chinook  Run

Anchor River sockeye fishing rates high on the list of things to experience on your Alaskan fishing adventure.  Considered to be "combat fishing" where you and your neighbor must get along.  Strictly fly fishing only.  Anchor River sonar unit is located 2 miles upstream from saltwater and 100 feet downstream from where the Anchor branches into the North and South forks at the upper boundary of the salmon fishery.

Coho Run

Plan your trip accordingly, so you are there when the fish are.  As you can see this varies from year to year based on many factors, water temperature, water depth, and other circumstances.

Anchor River sonar unit is located 2 miles upstream from saltwater and 100 feet downstream from where the Anchor branches into the North and South forks at the upper boundary of the salmon fishery.
